TCS PAPER ON 13th JUNE AT CHENNAI

hi friendz..., I m proud to say that i've got placed in TCS. They came 2 our campus on 13th and 1006 candidates were selected out of 2330. papers helped me a lot. Frndz , if u want 2 get in to Tcs , kindly concentrate on the TEST. Its actually very easy to clear TCS paper once u have seen the previous papers.

PAPER PATTERN:
1. VERBAL: 20 MIN(32 Q)
2. APS: 40 MIN(35Q)
3.CRTICAL REASONING:30 MIN(12Q)

For Verbal
*learn high frequency words frm BARRONS
*See Papers for some previously asked qns
*Just practise reading comprehensions from BARRONS....at times u get the same one...only in 10% of the cases
*Sentence completion is quite easy...u can manage
NOTE: even if u learn all high freq words , u might not know some 30% of synonyms etc....Don't worry....just answer some 7-8 out of 10 in synonyms, antonyms. BE careful, if u r preparing 4 GRE or any other xam, u might know all but plz plz answr atmost 8...or else u ll be rejected becoz there's an upper cutoff!!!!

Do this as quickly as possible....verbal is the only section wer u won't find enough time....if u don't know words, go to RC,sentence completion

For Aps
*See many papers.... it gets repeated just like tat....only numbers change
*you neednot workout books lik R.S.aggarwal for this. they are too simple....but plz c it once before u go
NOTE:
There are about 6-7 Dummy questions ...ie...the correct ans won't be any of the 5 options given.I heard if u ans more than 4 of these dummy qns u ll get rejected automatically. So be careful, work out all questions before u select the ans. DON'T ANSWER THESE DUMMY QUESTIONS

For Reasoning:
*Work out all 5 model test papers in 12th edition BARRONS and all mug up all answers....It might appear silly....but those who did'nt do tis could'nt clear the test. So don't forget this plz .
* very rarely all the qns might not be from BARRONS .....but this is for 1 out of 100....so better learn all
* at times the names given ll be different from the ones given in the book(again very very rarely)
NOTE:

no matter how badly u perform in verbal , u r xpected 2 do well in this and aps. SO ANSWER A MINIMUM OF 8 CORRECT IN THIS.(out of 12)....and at the max attend 9 or 10 correctly.
then as soon as u finish, u ll get the results.

INTREVIEW:
this is wer partly ur luck plays a role....
i was the last person to b intreviewed tat day, so already they wer too tired....Plus mine was a kind of stress panel
But the panelists are too kind & gud. and they r too alert. So b careful wen u ans. Stay very very calm and ans very politely.... U must b in a position 2 justify watever u say....

so prepare 4 some std questions like
*why tcs?
*why software(for non-it)?
*why not higher studies?
*TAY(Tell abt Urself)
*strenghts
*weakness
*Other intersests
etc....
And the mot important thing is C . learn basics of C .....no body s gonna ask u 2 rite a program in pointers or so,,, but they just ask some basic qns lik wats an array,pointer,structure,diff between struct & union, wats enum,tyedef,typecast,abt data types,loops,preprocessor

ALL BASIC DEFINITIONS ONLY , BUT THEY LOOK AT THE WAY U XPLAIN EVEN A SMALL CONCEPT.... EXPLAIN WELL WITH AN Eg
And the next imp question is wats the diff between C,C++(atlest 5 points..prepare) and explain the concepts in OOPs(polymorphism,inheritence...)

Next some basic programs like:
GREATEST OF 3 NUMBERS, ROOTS OF A QUADRATIC EQUATION, GREATEST OF N NUMBERS , SORTING N NUMBERS, PALINDROME, FIBONNACI NUMBERS, ARMSTRONG NUMBER , PERFECT NUMBER, PRIME NUMBER,REVERSAL OF A STRING, MATRIX ADDITION, MATRIX MULTIPLICATION, FACTORIAL

then ur area of interest of course.....and some times they ask u to list the subjects u learnt in a particular sem , and they ask some basics from all those....so be prepared....be clear wat subject u learnt in a particular sem.....

ABOVE ALL THIS IT'S YOUR FAITH IN GOD. believe in HIM.....Never b upset if don't get one....always prepare well in advance so that u don't you don't repent later...

ALL THE VERY BEST!!!!! PREPARE VERY WELL...REMAIN COOL....PLZ DON'T IGNORE CRITICAL REASONING FROM BARRONS....
