Hi frnds, I am Sudeep Dutt. I am doing my BE in Information Technology (6th
semester) from UIT-RGPV, Bhopal . TCS came to our college for campus
placements and by GOD’S grace I was selected. Here I wanna share my
experiences with you all..
WRITTEN:-
Marking Scheme(No Negative) J that’s pretty kool Do the previous years
papers, they don’t even change the values.They change names,places etc..
ENGLISH
Antonyms-Synonyms (little tough ones)
RC (a bit tough one)
Fill in the blanks(easy ones)
SO I RATE ENGLISH SECTION AS MEDIOCRE TOUGH
QUANT
Q’s from prev papers they only changed the names……values remained same…Check
list before going 4 the test(DO THEM)
Venn-Diagrams
Speed,time,distance
Number theory(simple ones)
A DI caselet having 3-4 q’s
I wud rate the section as the easiest….. (there were 32 q’s I was sureshot
for min 30q’s)
ANALYTICAL
There r 3 caselets having 4q’s each so in all 12 q’s 2 be answered in 30 mts
Do model test papers(5papers) from GRE barrons(12 edition). Q’s r totally
same. They don’t even change even order of q’s. So if u r unable 2 solve the
q’s beforehand…mug up the answeres believe me they r of gr8 help… I did the
same…and had all q’s correct.
TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:
Estimated time taken arnd 25-30 mts.
Kindly write those things in u r resume which u know…………………..I was well
conversed with photoshop7,flash8,dreamweaver8 so I wrote them.. Q’s were:-
1. Explain concepts of oops by relating it 2 a car?(EXPLAINED)
2. WAP in c++ 4 swapping 2 nos.? (WROTE & was correct… do the program by
using 2 variables otherwise they wud kick u J)
3. Which website designing software I use? (SAID)
4. Explain the whole method of designing a website,uploading it over the net
& uploading files etc.? (EXPLAINED COMFORTABLY)
5. Other interviewer takes my resume and asks q’s on photosop7 ??(I think I
should skip that) (SIMPLE ONES) (answered comfortably)
6. Explain the procedure how an email attachment is downloaded?? (use of
protocols) (EXPLAINED COMFORTABLY)
that’s it…………………….4 technical interview
HR INTERVIEW:
Estimated time taken arnd 15 mts.
Q’s they asked:
tell me abt urself
3 reasons y shud I take u????? (GIVE SOLID REASONS WITH EXAMPLES)
do u have a girlfriend??
Do u believe in open relationships??
Wud u marry a girl older then ur age???(TRICKY Q handle these type of q’s
carefully)
R u ready to travel abroad??
R u ready to settle in abroad??
Which was the last movie u had seen???
