SBI Clerk Recruitment Exam 2014 is going to be conducted in July/August 2014.
The online registration process for application submission has already been started from 26 May 2014.
The last date for application is 14 June 2014.
The written examination will be held for recruitment to the 5092 posts of Assistants in Clerical Cadre.
Exam Pattern: Objective Test The test will include objective type questions, consisting of (i) General Awareness (ii) General English (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (iv) Reasoning Ability (v) Marketing Aptitude I Computer Knowledge.
The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. Each Section will be of 40 marks.
The candidates will be provided composite time of 2 Hours 15minutes. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be dedudted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
Interview The successful candidates in the objective type written test will be placed in according to their marks in descending order in respective categories. The candidates ranking high enough in the merit will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy depending on availability of vacancies.
For attempting this section: the candidates should have good knowledge of rules of Grammar and its correct usage in right perspective. For this, they are require to strengthen their vocabulary power in order to score well. This section generally includes Passage Based questions, Common Error in Sentence, Rapid Fillers, Close Test, Antonyms, and Synonyms etc. Quantitative Aptitude: Tips For solving the questions of Quantitative Aptitude, the candidates should know the basic rules applied in each chapter. By heart learning of formulas and their application would be perfect way to solve many questions. Basic calculation and approximation concept should be strong as they directly drive the candidate to right option. Focus on speed is the foremost requirement for numerical ability section.
Reasoning Ability: Tips For preparation of Reasoning Section, one should require mental alertness and logical skills. One needs to understand the nature of question first from previous year question paper. Develop the skills of time management to make themselves prepare for solving questions in a speedy manner. More and more practice of previous year and model question papers will be helpful.
The questions in this section are included from topics like Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning including topics- Analogy, Input-Output, Classification, Syllogism, Inferences etc. Marketing & Computers Knowledge: Tips It is one of the scoring sections of the SBI Clerk Exam Question Paper. For preparation of this section, the candidates should have basic knowledge of Marketing and Computer. Questions from computers require the basic knowledge of computer, Networking, Internet, and Communication along with new researches in the same field.
The topics included in this section include Computer Components, Languages , operations, Networking etc. The topics from marketing include Banking policy, Basic concept (5Ps of Marketing and 7 S of Marketing), Product life cycle, Developing stage of organization, Segmentation, positioning and targeting etc.
