IFS Syllabus 2014

Syllabus for IFS written Examination
IFS written examination consists of following papers:
- Paper Ist: General English
- Paper IInd: General Knowledge
Each paper consists of 300 marks.
Paper IIIrd, IVth, Vth, and VIth: Candidates need to select any two subjects from this list:

Agricultural Engineering: Syllabus consists of 2 papers. Each paper consists of 2 sections, Section A and Section B.
Paper 1:
Section A: Soil and water conservation, Aerial Photography and Remote Sensing
Section B: Irrigation and Drainage, Agricultural Structures
Paper 2:
Section A: Farm Power and Machinery, Agro-energy
Section B: Agricultural Process Engineering, Instrumental and computer applications in Agriculture
Animal Husbandry: Syllabus consists of 2 papers.
Paper 1: Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology, Livestock Production, Genetics
Paper 2: Health and Hygiene, Animal Diseases, Veterinary Public Health, Milk and Milk Product Technology, Extension
Botany: Syllabus consists of 2 papers.
Paper 1: Microbiology, cryptogams, Phanerogams, Plant Utility
Paper 2: Cell Biology, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Biochemistry, Ecology, Forest type of India
Mathematics: Syllabus consists of 2 papers. Each paper consists of 2 sections, Section A and Section B.
Paper 1:
Section A: Linear Algebra, Calculus, Analytics Geometry
Section B: Differential Equations, Dynamics, Vector Analysis
Paper 2:
Section A: Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Programming
Section B: Partial Differential Equations, Numeric Integration, Numeric Analysis, Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics.
Zoology: Zoology syllabus consists of 2 papers. Each paper consists of 2 sections, Section A and Section B.
Paper 1:
Section A: Non-chordata and chordate
Section B: Ecology, Ethology, Economic Zoology, Biostatistics, Instrumental Methods.
Paper 2:
Section A: Cell Biology, Genetics, Evolution, Systematic.
Section B: Biochemistry, Psychology, Developmental Biology
IFS Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants who want to apply for IFS exam need to know the eligibility criteriafirst.
Age Limit
Aspirant's age limit should be in between 21 to 30 Years as on before 1st July of that year.
Educational Criteria
Applicants need to hold the Bachelor Degree in Science with at least one of the following subject: Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry; or Bachelor's Degree in engineering (any stream) / Forestry/ Agriculture; or MBBS.
