The result for RRB NTPC exam by Railway Recruitment Board has been
postponed. RRB exam result and RRB NTPC 2016 results were earlier
scheduled to be announced by 1st June, however, the board has delayed
the declaration of results until further notice. The exact date and time
of RRB result hasn�t been notified by the board after the delay.
Indian Railways had issued an official notification in December last
year for filling total 18,252 posts under Non Technical Popular
Categories (NTPC) through Centralised Employment Notice number 03/2015.
The posts notified to be filled through the recruitment process include
Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Enquiry-cum-reservation
clerk, goods guard, senior clerk-cum-typist, junior accounts
assistant-cum-typist, assistant station master, traffic assistant and
senior time keeper post.
As the number of vacancies was quite huge, over 93 lakh applications
were received for the same. Ministry of Railways had decided to conduct
common computer based test to be followed by aptitude test or typing
skill test based on the nature of vacancy as the recruitment process.
Common Computer based test was conducted in a long schedule between
March to May this year and more than 9.3 million candidates are waiting
for the declaration of RRB NTPC results.
As the exam was being conducted across the country, RRB NTPC exam was
rescheduled at eight centres after irregularities were detected there.
These centres included six in Allahabad, one in Pune and one in Delhi.
RRB NTPC exam was also rescheduled at few centres in West Bengal as the
assembly elections were going across the state.
There are 21 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under Ministry of
Railways which issued notification for their zones. These RRBs include
RRB Ahmedabad, RRB Ajmer, RRB Allahabad, RRB Bangalore, RRB Bhopal, RRB
Bhubaneswar, RRB Bilaspur, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Chennai, RRB Gorakhpur,
RRB Guwahati, RRB Jammu Srinagar, RRB Kolkata, RRB Malda, RRB Mumbai,
RRB Muzzafarpur, RRB Patna, RRB Ranchi, RRB Secunderrabad, RRB Siliguri
and RRB Trivandrum.
RRB NTPC result was expected to be announced on June 1, but it has
been delayed. So far, no official confirmation regarding RRB NTPC result
has been made, but all candidates will be timely intimated through SMS
and e-mail by RRBs. All the RRBs will hold documents verification after
completion of exam process.
RRBs have also confirmed that candidates equal to the number of
vacancies will be called for document verification while additional 50
percent candidates will be kept under standby category. These candidates
will be considered only if there is shortfall in empanelment from main
list. RRB NTPC result will be followed by the publication of RRB NTPC
merit list, based on which further recruitment process would be carried
out. It is to note here that RRBs will start publishing the results in a
sequence, and same would be accessible at respective official websites
of RRBs. RRBs will also publish RRB NTPC cut off for each category and
post separately.
The selection process is completely based on merit and is subject to
rules and regulations furnished by the Ministry of Railways under
Government of India.
