2) Microsoft Installer Technology(MSI) for the installer
3) Installshield packaging IDE. (Other IDEs in market are Wise Packaging, InstallAnywhere etc)
4) MSI uses RDBMS and supports SQL statements
5) Instalshield APIs along with heavy C/C++ code for package creation
6) C/C++ code is used for installer customizations w.r.t. kernel changes, device driver installations required during installation of above products
