- Managing the database servers.
- Installation, Backups, Restores, maintenance routines and Recovery.
- Tuning of environments and performance monitor.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining automated scripts
- Overseeing database backups and.
- Migration database across the platform (Oracle, Ms Sql2k, Sybase, DB2).
- Upgrade Client Database by maintaining database script
- Writing utility programmes for database administration tasks (Preferred ANT)
- Writing and optimizing queries.
- Close co-ordination with different teams in the product center.
- Bachelors or higher degree or equivalent in computer science.
- OCP Certified
- At least 1-3 years experience in Database Administration on Oracle / Sybase servers.
- Working knowledge of UNIX / Linux / Solaris
