MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and implements HP product representation and configuration information in HP's Supply Chain-critical business applications. Collaborates primarily with R & D, Current Product Engineering, and the front end organization, to understand and coordinate changes, and ensuring the requirements of these organizations in fulfilling HP product demand, is met. This includes managing product changes: these changes may include, but are not limited to, Firmware changes, change requests from front end organizations, New Product releases and Bill of Material (BOM) management. This position requires a depth of understanding for the entire Product Life Cycle while ensuring that the highest level of quality and integrity of the information is maintained. Work with other divisional and regional Product Information Management (PIM) organizations across geographies to determine product representation in the database, data standards, common processes, and organization leverage points. Identify process breakthroughs that provide competitive advantages to the design teams. Participate in their design and implementation. Serve as a focal point for PIM related issues.
Desired Profile	Job Requirements: Minimum JOB REQUIREMENTS '' AA or Bachelor's degree in business or technical field. 2 years related supply chain experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering Proven problem solving skills and techniques Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality Generates new and innovative solutions to complex problems Ability to work independently, and on a project team Experience in high tech manufacturing and project management MUSTS '' Skills/Knowledge Requirements: Excellent English (written and verbal) Must DEMONSTRATE - (a) a solid understanding of product structure/configuration (b) basic understanding of order fulfillment and supply chain processes (c) the initiative to drive product change schedules based on product rolls and/or release dates (d) the ability to review and escalate to appropriate owners, issues relating to product structure conflicts (e) the ability to use historical data, knowledge & existing systems/processes to project and communicate consequences of change in product release and/or introduction (f) the ability to plan/execute the configuration activities required for the successful introduction of product changes (g) high tolerance for ambiguity (h) strong commitment to work as part of a larger, diverse team, with a willingness to compromise, for the success of the entire organization. In addition, the incumbent will be required to: (1) Report to the Product Information Management (PIM) team (2) manage large amounts of data & detail under pressure, (3) provide leadership in the introduction of product changes, through planning and analyzing activities in support of project timelines, defining objectives/goals and communication of project status (4) plan for and manage the obsolescence of unreleased products (5) manage the Planning aspects of the implementation of engineering changes on new product development and existing products (6) collaborate with other members of the PIM Dept. on the implementation of Change Orders impacting new product development and/or product changes (7) on an ongoing basis, use knowledge of processes and standards to recognize the need for process change, and then take the initiative to recommend and lead action where appropriate (8) be skilled in office automation tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. (9) help train and give guidance to other HP employees (10) work with minimal supervision. HIGHLY DESIREABLE '' Familiarity with SAP, ePDM and PDM.
