Junior Research Fellow ( JRFMechanical)	First class BE / B.Tech. In Mechanical Engg.	Rs. 9,000/- in the first year, Rs. 12,000/- in the second year and Rs. 14000/- in subsequent years. Loyalty incentive @ Rs 25,000/- on completion of 14th month and on completion of 18th month.	Non-refundable processing fee of Rs.100/- (SC/STexempted) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram.

Other conditions :
1. Duration of appointment: The appointment shall be for a minimum period ofone year, with possibility of extension depending upon the performance and the project duration.

2. Age limit Junior Research Fellow : 30 years
Contract Project Technical Assistant : 25 years
Age limit reckoned as on 1st February 2008.
3. Selection
Initial screening will be based on academic record, nature and duration of experience. Though the minimum qualification prescribed is First Class, the Centre reserves the right to fix a higher percentage of marks in the initial screening. Candidates short-listed in the initial screening shall be called for written test and candidates qualified in the written test will be called for interview for final selection.
4. Reservation and relaxations
In accordance with the rules / instructions issued by Govt. of India for SCs / STs / OBCs
5. How to Apply
Apply in the prescribed format with copies of certificates and mark sheets, proof of experience and Demand Draft, if applicable so as to reach us on or before 20th February 2008 (5.30 PM) superscribing the envelope “Application for the post of …….”. Name of the applicant should be clearly written on the backside of the DD.

Candidates should ensure that they provide all requisite information in the prescribed format along-with photograph, copies of certificates, mark sheets and Demand Draft. Incomplete applications and applications received after the due date will not be considered. No interim correspondence will be entertained.

Travelling expenses for attending Test / Interview are to be met by the Candidates. However, bus fare will be reimbursed to SC/ST candidates whose place of residence as shown in the application is not directly connected with Thiruvananthapuram by Rail, or if they produce proof to the effect that they were denied free tickets by Railways for attending the above Test / Interview, II Class to and fro Train fare will be reimbursed to them on production of Railway Cash receipt/Ticket Number / Bus ticket etc. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
