Procedure for Obtaining XLRI Prospectusfrom Axis Bank and XLRI Registration

1. A candidate interested in XLRI, has to first register for XAT. The XAT ID and password so obtained are required for applying to XLRI.
2. An applicant intending to apply for one of the programmes has to make a demand draft for Rs. 950/- for XLRI Prospectus.
3. A candidate can apply for more than one programme, but not more than three programmes. If he/she intends to apply for more than one programme, he/she needs to make a DD of Rs. 1550/- for general candidate and Rs. 1150/- for SC/ST candidate.
4. The DD has to be drawn in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c Prospectus", payable at Jamshedpur.
5. Registration for XLRI Admissions 2013: The candidate has to log on to the website www.xlri.edu and go to XLRI Registration. Here he/she has to fill in the XLRI form and opt for the programmes he/she intends to apply for. The candidate has to provide the payment particulars of the demand draft number, amount, date and submit the form online. Mention your XAT ID and your name on the reverse of the DD.
6. Once the candidate provides the demand draft details he/she can proceed to take printout of XLRI Payment Advise Form (XLRI PAForm).
7. The candidate has to enclose the demand draft along with the duly completed XLRI PAForm and send it by registered post /speed post /courier so as to reach XLRI Admission Office, XLRI Jamshedpur on or before December 05, 2013.
8. XLRI Prospectus will be sent after receiving the request complete in all respects.
9. The list of the short listed candidates for XLRI will be posted in the same website by January 31, 2013. The names of the candidates who subsequently succeed in the selection interviews and/or group discussions for admission to XLRI will be intimated individually and also will be posted at www.xlri.ac.in and www.xlri.edu

XLRI XAT 2013Test Centers

The Test Centres include Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore,Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar,Chandigarh, Chennai,Cochin, Coimbatore,Dehradun, Goa, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur,Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur,New Delhi, Noida, Patna,Pune, Raipur, Rourkela, Thiruvananthapuram,Vadodora and Vishakhapatnam. The centres aresubject to change during a particular year.

XAT Exam Pattern

XAT usually comprises 3 sections - with a timelimit of 40 minutes for each of the sections.

One section is Reading Comprehension and VerbalAbility questions. Another section is Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and DataInterpretation questions and the Third section is General Awareness Questions.

• The Number of Sections: 3 (With an Essay after the test)
• The Number of Questions: 200 (It may change time to time)
• No of Choices per question: 4
• Time given for the paper: 120 min
• Time given for the essay: 20 min
• Marks for correct answer: +1
• Marks for wrong answer: -1/3

Essay Topic: Students areexpected to write an essay of about 250-300 words in 20 minutes.
