Joint Entrance Examination (JET) is conducted for admission to BE courses at Tripura Engineering and Regional Engineering College, Silchar by Tripura. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programmes for all Indian and Foreign nationals at these institutions are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).<br><div class="pg_cont"> <strong>Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (Tripura JEE)</strong> <p align="justify">The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination will conduct Joint Entrance Examination for the Session 2008 at Agartala, Udaipur and Kailashahar for admission to Engineering, Medial, Technological and other professional Degree Courses against sets reserved for the State of Tripura (Excluding seats reserved in REC / NITS) including the seats of Tripura Engineering Colleges.</p> <p align="justify">Each of the subject of Examination will be of 100 marks. Candidates seeking admission to Engineering / Technological Degree Courses (Group-A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and those seeking admission to Medical / Agricultural Courses, etc. (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Those desiring to take chances in both of the above groups will have to appear in all the four subjects (Group-C).</p> </div><br><p align="justify">The question of the examination will be framed following the syllabi of Tripura Joint Entrance Examination. Candidate may answer the questions either in English or in Bengali.</p> <strong>Courses for admission</strong> <ul><li>Engineering</li><li>Pharmacy</li><li>Designing</li><li>Architecture</li></ul> <strong></strong><br><p><b><u> <p align="center">ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING AT THE JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION</p> </u></b> </p><p align="justify">To be eligible for appearing at the Examination a candidate</p> <ol type="a"><li>Must be a Citizen of India. </li><li> <p align="justify">A Permanent Resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his/her parents must have been residing in the State of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 (ten) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination . </p></li><li> <p align="justify">Must have passed/appeared/due to appear in the year of Examination at the Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education/Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent with the subject in which he/she desires to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination. </p></li><li> <p align="justify">Children of All India Services Officers borne in Manipur Tripura Cadre and the children of the employees of the State Government posted outside Tripura will be eligible to appear at the Examination irrespective of their prior stay in Tripura. </p></li><li> <p align="justify">In case a candidate is not a Permanent Resident of Tripura but his/her parent is an Officer on deputation to the Government of Tripura/Officer of the Central Government working in Tripura and has served in Tripura continuously for a period of 3 years or more and passed Higher Secondary Examination from an Institution of Tripura, he/she is eligible for seats of Tripura Engineering College only. </p></li><li> <p align="justify">If a candidate is allotted a seat in the past inside or outside the State on the basis of result of Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination he/she shall not be eligible to appear at the Joint Entrance Examination this year and in subsequent years unless he/she has surrendered the allotted seat in writing within specified time to the appropriate authority. </p></li></ol><b><u> <p align="center">RESERVATION</p> </u></b> <p align="justify">Reservation of seats for SC/ST candidates will be as per State Government approved norms. One seat of Tripura Engineering College is reserved for son/daughter of Defence Personnel either killed or invalidated in the War-field or in an accident. The seats of Regional Engineering Colleges reserved for Tripura will also be filled up from merit lists of this Joint Entrance Examination. However, the candidates aspiring for the seats of Regional Engineering College will have to apply to the Regional Engineering College, Silchar, as per their advertisement in addition to appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination of Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination.</p><p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;" align="justify"><b>S.
