SRM Engineering Entrance Exam 2013 SRMEEE Eligibility

Nationality

Theapplicant for admission should be a resident Indian national and shouldhave studied in schools located in India inthe preceding two years.

SRMEEE Eligibility Criteria for Qualifying Examinations:

B.Tech

Apass in 10+2 or its equivalent and

(a) For all programs: Minimum 60% aggregate inmathematics, physics & chemistry.

(b) For bioinformatics, biomedical &instrumentation engineering,bioprocess engineering, biotechnology andgenetic engineering: Minimum60% aggregate in biology, physics andchemistry.

In SRMEEE

*Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistryand mathematics in the SRMEEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. degreeprograms

* Candidates who haveattempted physics, chemistryand biology in the SRMEEE are eligibleonly for B.Tech. biotechnology,bioinformatics, biomedical engineering,bio process engineering, foodprocess engineering and geneticengineering programs

B.Arch:

*A pass in 10+2 or its equivalenthaving a minimum total aggregate of60% with english and mathematics assubjects of study and a minimumNATA score of 80 out of200.

* No separateentranceexamination will be conducted by SRM University. However, thecandidateshave to apply in the prescribed application form foradmission toB.Arch. program.

Candidates can obtain the application formfrom any of the following sources upon payment of Rs.750/-:

Candidates can also send a DD of Rs.750/-drawn infavour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai, with a covering lettermentioningclearly the complete postal address. Candidate should writetheir nameandaddress on the reverse of theDD.
Thecompleted application should be sent to the university so as to reachbefore the last datespecified

iii. Download of SRMEEE Application Form:

SRMEEE Application form can be downloadedfrom the university website: www.srmuniv.ac.in.The filled?in application alongwith the DD for Rs.750/- drawn infavour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai,should be sent so as to reach theuniversity before the last datespecified.

Candidates should writetheir name and address on the reverse of DD.

Candidatesregistering through different modes willbe given separate applicationform numbers. Prospectus and informationbrochure will be sent uponreceipt of the application and the requisitefee.

Applications receivedafter the due date will not beaccepted. Candidates are advised toretain a photo copy of the filledin application for future reference.

The university will not beresponsible for any postal delay, loss in postal transit or anyirregularity.

SRMEEE Admission Procedure:

For B.Tech. Program

Theadmission will bepurely on the basis of the performance in theEngineering EntranceExamination conducted by SRM University.
The candidatesshort-listedbased on their performance in the entrance examination willbe calledfor the counseling to be held at the SRM University premisesinKattankulathur 603 203,Chennai.
ForB.Arch Program
Admission to B.Arch. program will be based on theaggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination & NATAscore.
Themeritorious candidate list will be drawn giving50% weightage toaggregate of total marks secured in qualifyingexamination & 50%weightage to NATAscore.
Based onthe ranking, admissions will be offered to thecandidate.

ForB.Des. Program

Admissionto B.Des. program will be purely on thebasis of performance in theHigher Secondary examination. Candidatesshort listed based on theirHigher Secondary marks will be offeredadmission directly.

For M.Tech. Program

Admissionto this programwill be on the basis of performance in the EntranceTest conducted bySRM University. However candidate with valid GATEscore can also applyand will be considered for admission. Merit listwill be prepared andcandidates will be called forcounseling.

ForMBA and PGPM Programs

Admissionto these programswill be on the basis of performance in the EntranceTest conducted bySRM University. However candidates with valid scorein CAT/MAT also canapply and will be considered foradmission.
Meritlist will be prepared, candidates will be called for group discussionand personal interview and selection will bemade.

For MCAProgram

Admission to this program will be on the basis ofperformance in the Entrance Test conducted by SRMUniversity.
Merit list will be prepared and candidates will becalled for counseling.

For M.S. (TQM)

TheAdmission Committeewill decide on the procedure for conducting the interview for eligiblecandidates, as decided by the committee fromyear to year, and thepercentage of marks obtained in specifiedsubjects of the qualifyingexaminations.
AdmissionCommittee will prepare a merit list andwill offer admissions throughcounseling, taking into account theprofessional experience of thecandidate and the available number ofseats.

For M.S.(Nanoscience and Nanotechnology)

First class in the qualifying exam followed by interview. Candidates will be short listed based on the qualifying examination before being called for the interview.

SRMEEE Exam Pattern:

1. General: Question paperwill be only in English.

2. Questions are ofobjective type.

3. Each question has 4 alternateanswers.

4. The correct answer has to be chosen andthe appropriate oval should be shaded.

5.Use of calculating devices is prohibited. Use ofcalculators, log tables and slide ruler, watches with facilities ofcalculator, pagers andcellular phones are strictly not permitted in theexamination hall.Candidates are also strictly forbidden from carryingany textualmaterial (printed or written), bits of paper, envelope orany othermaterial into the examination hall except the Hall Ticket.
