various courses offered bythe University for the academic year
¤tYear, will conduct AICET foradmission to
M.B.B.S and B.D.S Courses in the month of
May ¤tYear.
The
All India CommonEntrance Test
(AICET) - ¤tYear will be conducted at various places
inIndia
for selection ofcandidates for admission to courses mentioned above and
offered by theconstituent
colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences viz RuralMedicalCollege and RuralDentalCollege.

Course:
?MBBS
- Four and half years degree course withcompulsory one year rotatory
internship.
?BDS
- Five years degree
course.
The medium of
instruction for all courses is English. The duration of thecourse is as
specified by the respective councils and
UGC.

¤tYear Mode of Entrance
Test:
The AICET
- ¤tYear will be of three hours duration. There will
beone question paper for the CET consisting 200 multiple-choice
questions(MCQ?s), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
Each correct answercarries one
mark.
There is no negative
marking.
Other details
regarding syllabus, model question paper, specimen answersheet, method
of marking answers etc. are given separately in this
Prospectus.
Eligibility
for MBBS
Courses
The
candidate should have completed the age of 17
years
The minimum educational requirements shall be
the passing of two yearsintermediate or Higher Secondary (10+2 pattern)
or equivalent examination withscience subjects viz Physics, Chemistry
and Biology from a statutory universityor pre-university intermediate
board or State Higher Secondary ExaminationBoard.
The
student should have passed qualifying examination with Science
(Physics,Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate
marks in PCB. ForScheduled Castes/ Schedule Tribes, the minimum marks
required for admissionshall be 40% in lieu of 50% for general
candidates.
The candidate
should be medically fit.

for BDS
Courses
* The
candidate has completed the age of 17 years
Must have passed the two
years Intermediate or Higher Secondary (10+2pattern) or Equivalent
Examination thereof with Science subjects viz Physics,Chemistry and
Biology (or Botany and Zoology) from a statutory University
orPre-University Intermediate Board or State Higher Secondary
Examination Boardand should have secured 50% marks in the aggregate of
Physics, Chemistry andBiology (or Botany and Zoology) and with English
as one of the subject.
For
Scheduled Castes / Schedule Tribes, the minimum marks required
foradmission shall be 40% in lieu of 50% for general
candidates.
The candidate
should be medically fit.
