Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) All India Competitive Written Test for admission to MBBS courses (63 seats) in two stages:

• PMT/PAT SCREENING
• PMT MAIN

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (63 seats) in TWO stages: PMTSCREENING and PMT MAIN, and to BDS (28 seats)/BAMS (57 seats) / B. Pharm. (28 seats) and B.Pharm.(Ay.) (Paid seats - 30) courses in ONE stage: PMT Screening.

BHU Eligibility:

BHU Qualifications Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm.(Ay.) - A minimum of 50% for general and 40% aggregate marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. - A minimum of 60% marks for general & OBC and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

Age: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years

By Cash: On payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates) from the following branches of BANK OF BARODA.

BY POSTAL CHANNEL : From the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221 005 by sending a written request through Registered Post along with Crossed Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs. 1060/- (Rs. 660/- for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of "The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU" payable at Varanasi. Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate's name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT/PAT application form should be super scribed "Request for Application for PMT/PAT-2008, BHU"
