A candidate seeking admission
to the MBBS courseis eligibleto take the entrance examination if he/she
fulfills thefollowing criteria:
A candidate should be a citizen ofIndia orbe a subject of
Nepal or
BhutanPakistan or any other
foreigncountry with the intention of permanently settling
inIndia.
Must be unmarried.
Marrying during thecourse is not
permitted.
Should be medically
fit as per prescribedstandards by the Govt. of India, Ministry

AcademicQualifications:
Candidatemust have passed all the subjects opted for in the
first attemptof thequalifying examinations as a regular candidate with
English,Physics,Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing
notless than 60% ofthe aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects
takentogether and not lessthan 50% marks in English and 50% marks in
each ofthe science subjects. Theymust have also passed an examination
inMathematics of the 10th
standard.
a.TheHigher
Secondary(10+2) or equivalent examination in Science of a
statutoryIndianUniversity/Boardor
other recognized examination body with English, Physics.
ChemistryandBiology which shall include practical test in all of these
Sciencesubjects.
b.ThePre-Professional/Pre-Medicalexamination
with English, Physics, Chemistry andBiology (after passingeither
HigherSecondarySchoolexamination
orpre-University or equivalent examination) which shall
includepracticaltest in these science
subjects.
c.1styear
of three yearsDegree course of a recognized University with
English,Physics,Chemistry and Biology including practical test in
Sciencesubjectsprovided the examination is a
UniversityExamination.
d.SeniorSecondary
of astatutory Examination Board of Indian School Certificateexamination
of12 years of study, last two years of study comprising

g.B.Sc.Examination
of arecognised Indian University provided that he/she has passedthe
B.Sc.Examination in not less than two of the subjects
Physics,Chemistry,Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has
passedthe qualifyingexamination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and
English.The criteria formarks in Qualifying Examination (i.e. 10+2
orequivalent examination) as givenabove in para 11 (a) to 11 (f)
remainsthe same for the B.Sc.
candidatesalso.
h.Candidateswho
haveappeared or will be appearing in qualifying examination upto
02May,2009 may also apply. However, on selection, the admission will
besubject topassing and meeting the eligibility criteria as per paras
10and 11
above.
i.Regardingthe
requirement of Mathematics, candidate whohas passed HigherSecondary,
Senior Cambridge or Indian School Certificateexamination andhad not
offered Mathematics in the final year will be deemedeligible ifhe/she
had studied Mathematics up to the pre-final year stage (Class-X)and had
passed an examination in the subject provided it was at leastofTenth
standard. A certificate signed by the Head Master or Principal
oftheSchool in which the candidate had studied should be produced at
thetime ofinterview in such cases. A candidate who had not
takenMathematics in the Tenthor an equivalent examination but
hadsubsequently passed in Mathematics as anadditional subject
inI.Sc./B.Sc. examination is
alsoeligible
Methodof
Selection:
Candidates who arefound provisionally eligible as per the
criteria of eligibility, willbe called at one of the examination
centres to appear in thecompetitive examination on 1st Sunday of May.
Issue of admit cards.however does not necessarily mean acceptance of
eligibility which willbe further scrutinized at subsequent stages of
selection.
The written
examination centre will be allotted tocandidates depending upon the
administrative arrangements for theexamination and availability of
adequate seating
capacity.
The Roll Number of
the candidates who qualify for interviewbased on the above written
examination will be published in the leadingnewspapers. The
college/DGAFMS take no responsibility for any error oromission in the
roll numbers published in the
newspapers.
