About College	Sona College of Technology was founded in the year 1997, by late Thiru.M.S.Chockalingam, a textile wizard and philanthropist, who had abiding interest in Professional Education for industrial and economical growth of the country. The edifice of the institution stands on the strong foundations of values, ideals and rich culture and the credit for all goes to the Founder Chairman and his son Thiru C.Valliappa, the Chairman of the college, himself a stalwart in the business and the illustrious son of the founder, is at the helm of affairs.
