To immortalize the memory of Shri Kushal Chand reverent father of Sh. Prem Gandhi, Chairman of the Trust, the Trust is dedicated to Shri Kushal Chand and named after him.
Of all the different factors, which influence the quality of education and its contribution to national development, the quality, competence and character of teachers are undoubtedly the most significant. Nothing is more important than securing a sufficient supply of high quality teachers to the teaching profession, providing them with the best possible professional education and creating satisfactory conditions of work in which they can be fully effective. Obviously, a sound program of professional education of teachers is essential for the qualitative improvement of education. As such, as a humble contribution to society the KC Social Welfare Trust decided to set up KC College of Education.
KC College of Education started imparting teacher education to men and women graduates for the degree of Bachelor of Education under the aegis of the KC Social Welfare Trust. This Progressive trust is steered by Sh.Prem Gandhi as its Chairman with the active co-operation of other members of the KC Social Welfare Trust such as eminent educationists, committed social workers and experienced and seasoned educational administrators. Sh Prem Gandhi is a committed social worker, a great statesman and a successful businessman. The virtue of his personality lies in his simplicity and unparalleled patriotic leadership. For him it is only education that shapes the destiny of the nation as well as its people.
