Sindhunagar or Ulhasnagar was built as a transit military camp during Second World War by British Government. After the war the place became vacant till Indian independence. During partition of India, Sindhi state went other side of India, which is now known as Pakistan and the Sindhis un-willingly, left their homes and come on the side of Bombay with no money in hands. Looking to the situation Indian Government decided to allot them the Sindhunagar camp.
